A Step-by-Step Guide to Changing Toner on a Kyocera Copy Machine

Open the machine’s front cover

First things first, find the Kyocera copy machine’s front cover; usually, it’s located on the front side of the machine. Open the front cover and let it stay open as you move to the next step.

Remove the old toner cartridge

The next step involves removing the old toner cartridge, which is simple. Grab the top handle of the cartridge and pull it out slowly. You may notice a seal that needs to be broken before pulling the cartridge out. Make sure you dispose of the old cartridge properly.

Shake the new toner cartridge

After getting rid of the old cartridge, you’ll need to shake the new one gently to ensure the toner is distributed evenly. Shake it back and forth for at least 10 seconds, and then remove the protective tape from the new cartridge.

Insert the new toner cartridge

With the new toner cartridge ready to go, place it into the slot where the old cartridge was. Make sure it’s properly aligned with the machine, and then push it in until it clicks into place. Lastly, close the front cover of the machine and wait for the machine to recognize the new cartridge before using it.

Print a test page

Now that you’ve changed the toner cartridge, you’ll want to make sure your copy machine prints correctly. Print a test page to check for any issues. If it prints correctly, congratulations, you’ve successfully changed the toner on your Kyocera copy machine.
